Israel is continuing to make itself unwelcome in its region and is eroding the support of the west. The injustice of their occupation of lands which should be subject to the United Nations plan for peace are being commandeered by Israeli encroachment, further threatening an uprising of Palestinians, radicalization, and Israeli overkill reprisals. If alienation and isolation are progress, they are getting progressively closer to trouble.
So, forty-seven United States Republican Senators have attempted to scuttle Iranian negotiations, in lock step with Israel’s right wing. Boehner’s House has further intruded into Israeli right wing politics exacerbating Middle East tensions, aiding Israeli bluster, and tweaking the noses of Arabs, Iran, and the President of the United States. (Republicans are looking for Armageddon prior to January 2017)
There is an assumption on the part of Israel that if worst comes to worst, the west will rush to their aid. Europe is not likely to be of help in the self-made destruction of Israel. Braggadocio, injustice, and bellicosity are their own reward: arrogance invites conflict. But, at least the majority Republican politicians are willing to join in. They want revenge against the majority of American voters and the two elections of President Barack Obama.
There is no peace process because some Israelis and Palestinians would rather hold out for the exclusive ownership of the same real estate, whether it is called Palestine or Israel. Plus, if Israel wants a war with Iran, U.S. Republicans will throw in their lot, but will have a difficulty convincing the United States citizens to support more aggression in the region. Body bags are not any measure of success, notwithstanding Republican politics and Israeli death wishes. Lives are important on all sides of every conflict. Killing is repugnant to all but bullies, tyrants, radicals, obnoxious nations, and Republican politicians, who so hate and oppose President Obama, that they would bring on World War III to humiliate him.
Nations can negotiate their differences. Extremists have no nations, just deadly excuses to be stupid. Religious extremists have loyalties on some other planet, and merely want to attack the entire world, in the case of ISIL. Across the border from Israel is ISIL, fighting for an opportunity to coalesce a pan-Arabian force to eradicate Israel; its property, its people, and its religion. There is instability in major Arab nations, including Egypt. If history goes the wrong way, Israel is the bull’s-eye of the intended Caliphate.
Israel is vulnerability itself, and apparently assumes too much. They are begging for trouble. ISIL intends to take them on from the Golan Heights to Sinai Dessert. To Republicans: Why be ignorant when you can be stupid and fight the Constitution, the Government, the President, and the United States of America? Perhaps stupidity is a symptom of insanity.
